Sanctuary of Solacement

.: Prelude :.

There wasn't any hint of mercy from the cold outside, desperately trying to slink through the walls of Whitfield Mansion. The dense forest was enough to hinder the advance of the wrath of the snow storm, but it was only covering the back part of the mansion. It was an open and vast plain of snow in front of the mansion allowing the wind to ride swiftly and knock the windows of the mansion.

1903, December 21.

It wasn't much of a decent place to live in especially in the winters, but if the summers get too searing for you, this is the best escape you can find. Like a lone oasis in a desert or a deserted island in a ocean, the Whitfield Mansion was a sanctuary in the seemingly endless sea of snow.

Pillars of light from heaven stood in a random pattern proclaiming the dawn of a new day.

And a new story has begun.

The turn of a page is often brief and simple. Pages in our life acts the same too.

No?

You'll only see how far you have came across in your life when you trace back the steps you have made. Those times when you are in deep misery or great joy, those are just temporal times and often mistaken as big turning points of our lives. But truly, God works throughout your whole life as how He lay out His redemption for the world. He is a God of History, who works in and above time.

It is those little things we do daily, that slowly lead us either in the way to His kingdom or away from it. This blog will act as a record of my daily encounters, of my daily struggles and of never ending blessings.

Will I be lost?
Or shall I be found?

The answer lies sovereignly in God's hand.

The God who puts me in the Sanctuary of Solacement.
